Overview

Lingo Immersion is a Chrome extension that helps you build a language listening habit using YouTube. All data is stored locally on your device. The extension does not currently transmit any information to external servers or third parties.

Data We Store

The following data is saved in chrome.storage.local on your device only:

• Routines — routine name, search keyword, scheduled time, repeat setting, study language, and level that you configure.
• Recent plays — the last 5 keywords you played, with timestamps.
• Keyword usage stats — how many times each keyword was played, along with study language, level, play source, and display language. Stored up to 5 MB; oldest entries are removed automatically when the limit is reached.
• Daily progress — number of routines played today and current streak count.
• Settings — your chosen display language, study language, and study language level.

None of this data identifies you personally.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information.
• No browsing history outside of youtube.com.
• No data is currently sent to the developer or any analytics service. If anonymous usage statistics are collected in a future version, you will be asked for explicit consent beforehand.

YouTube Access

When you play a keyword, the extension opens a YouTube search results page (youtube.com/results?search_query=…) and injects a script to automatically navigate to the first video result. The extension does not read, store, or transmit your YouTube watch history, account information, or any other YouTube data.

Third-Party Services

The extension accesses YouTube (youtube.com) only for playback. No other external services or APIs are used. No CDN resources are loaded.
